ENJOY THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME TO THE INCA TRAIL AND MACHU PICCHU!

The traditional Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is one of the most spectacular experience and the most requested in South America, Machupicchu Condor Trek income you to travel this wonderful route, in a walk of 04 days and 03 nights for 45 KM, where we will have the joy of enjoying a unique experience by the original Inca Trail, there is no similar walk for its ecological and archaeological diversity. This adventure starts from KM 82 entering the Inca sanctuary of Machu Picchu it covers 32,900 hectares (peaks, glaciers and tropical forests), more than 450 species of birds and more than 250 species of orchids, as well as the great Inca City of Machu Picchu.

CLASSIC ADVENTURE INCA TRAIL 4 Days/ 3 Nights

DAY 1: CUSCO – TINKI – UPIS TREK & MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE

Your journey starts early with a 5:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We’ll travel in comfort aboard our private bus along the scenic Cusco–Puerto Maldonado highway, passing through charming Andean villages like Urcos and Ccatca before reaching Ocongate—the last stop to pick up any essentials.

After a beautiful two-hour drive, we arrive at Tinki (3,550 m / 11,646 ft), the gateway to the majestic Ausangate. From here, our trek truly begins. We ascend gradually across wide-open pampas with breathtaking, unobstructed views. Along the way, you’ll encounter traditional shepherd settlements and small farming communities, offering an authentic cultural glimpse into life in the Andes.

Around midday, we’ll pause for a well-deserved lunch, with the snow-capped peak of Ausangate Mountain as our backdrop—an unforgettable dining experience. Energized, we continue our hike for another two hours before reaching our first campsite at Upis (4,250 m / 13,944 ft). Here, surrounded by towering glaciers and endless skies, you’ll feel the peace and grandeur of the Peruvian Andes.

DAY 2: UPIS – ARAPA PASS – AUSANGATE CCOCHA HIGH-ALTITUDE TREK

Wake up in the heart of the Andes with a warm cup of coca tea, delivered right to your tent by our Machupicchu Condor Trek team. After a nourishing breakfast, we set out at 6:30 a.m. for an unforgettable day of high-altitude adventure.

Our journey begins with a challenging three-hour ascent to the breathtaking Arapa Pass (4,800 m / 15,748 ft). At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of the mighty Ausangate Mountain, a sight that will stay with you forever.

From Arapa Pass, the trail leads us across rugged, rocky terrain before descending for about 45 minutes into a tranquil valley. Here, the magic of the Andes unfolds—turquoise lagoons, glacial backdrops, and cascading waterfalls create an enchanting landscape. We pause by one of these pristine lakes to enjoy a well-earned lunch, surrounded by peace and silence.

The adventure continues across flat terrain for about an hour, followed by a gradual climb to our second pass of the day: Ausangate (Pucacocha) Pass, 4,900 m / 16,076 ft. From this vantage point, the views are even more spectacular—Ausangate Glacier and the sparkling Ausangatecocha Lake, a crystal-blue jewel formed by glacial melt.

We then descend for about an hour to reach our campsite at Surinecocha Lake (4,600 m / 15,091 ft), located at the very foot of the Ausangate Glacier. As the sun sets, we’ll gather for tea and a hearty dinner, embraced by the stillness and majesty of the Andes.

DAY 3: AUSANGATECCOCHA – PALOMANI PASS – SORAPATA HIGH-ANDES TREK

After a hearty breakfast, we set out on one of the most thrilling sections of the trek. The day begins with a two-hour climb to the highest point of our journey: the breathtaking Palomani Pass (5,200 m / 17,060 ft). At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping, unobstructed views that embrace the entire Vilcanota Mountain Range—a moment of pure Andean majesty.

From here, a challenging one-hour descent brings us into the Machuracay Valley, where we’ll pause for a well-deserved lunch surrounded by towering peaks and the ever-impressive Ausangate. The trail continues through stunning highland scenery, where every step reveals new perspectives of glaciers, valleys, and the iconic snow-capped giant.

By late afternoon, we arrive at the peaceful Sorapata Valley (4,590 m / 15,059 ft), our campsite for the night. After a demanding but rewarding day, the tranquility of this hidden Andean valley offers the perfect setting to rest, sip a warm tea, and enjoy a nourishing dinner under a blanket of stars.

DAY 4: SORAPATA – HAMPA PASS – PACCHANTA ANDES TREKKING ADVENTURE

The day begins with a gentle wake-up call and a warm cup of coca tea, served in your tent. After a hearty breakfast, we set off toward the small community of Hampa, beginning a four-hour trek that takes us to the highest and final pass of our journey: Hampa Pass (5,000 m / 16,404 ft).

Along the way, we’ll be rewarded with mesmerizing views of the famous 7 Lakes of Ausangate, each one shimmering in unique shades of turquoise and deep blue, framed by towering peaks and glaciers. We’ll pause in this magical setting for lunch, surrounded by the raw beauty of the Andes.

In the afternoon, we continue hiking for about three more hours until we reach our final campsite in Pacchanta (4,200 m / 13,779 ft). Here, a special reward awaits: the chance to relax in the soothing natural hot springs, gazing at Ausangate under the open Andean sky. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore this highland community, connect with local traditions, or simply unwind. We’ll close the day with tea, a delicious dinner, and a well-deserved rest.

DAY 5: PACCHANTA – TINKI – RETURN TO CUSCO ADVENTURE FINALE

Awakened once more with a warm cup of coca tea served in your tent by our Machupicchu Condor Trek team, you’ll enjoy a nourishing breakfast before setting off on the final stage of your Ausangate adventure.

The morning begins with an easy trek through gentle trails, leading us into a picturesque valley where we’ll pause to enjoy our snacks and soak in the last breathtaking views of the Andes. After a short rest, we continue on a relaxed two-hour hike toward the charming village of Tinki, where a delicious lunch awaits—our final shared meal on the trail, filled with the flavors and memories of the journey.

From Tinki, our private transport will be ready to take us back to Cusco, allowing time to reflect on the incredible landscapes, challenges overcome, and the cultural richness experienced along this unforgettable trek.

WHAT TO PUT IN YOUR DUFFEL BAG

As your local tour operator, we make sure every traveler is fully prepared for the Ausangate Trek. During the pre-trek briefing, you’ll receive a duffel bag, carried for you by a pack horse included in your tour. This allows you to focus on the adventure, not the load!

Weight Limit: Your duffel can hold up to 7 kg / 15 lbs, including your sleeping bag (~2.5 kg), sleeping pad (~1 kg), and essential clothing. Peruvian law enforces this limit to protect our pack horses and promote responsible trekking. All bags are weighed before departure.

If you need extra space, your personal daypack can carry the remainder. Practically, after your sleeping gear, you’ll have around 4 kg / 9 lbs for your personal items — just enough for everything you need on this unforgettable adventure.
