CUSCO CITY TOUR – PRIVATE GUIDED TOURS EVERY DAY
We pick you up from your hotel to start your visit the ancient Inca City. It is a living example of the mixture of Andean and Spanish culture. We start the tour in Santo Domingo Convent built over Qoricancha (temple of the Sun), which was the ancient Inca Palace and the main center of worship of the Sun God. We will have enough time to enjoy these incredible places. Afterwards, we visit the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, with its impressive Inca architecture, which dominates the city. Finally, we will explore the archaeological sites of Q’enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, located in the northeastern part of the city. We will take you back to your hotel in Cusco after the 4 to 5 hours tour approximately.

Start your unforgettable journey early in the morning! We’ll pick you up at 4:30 a.m. from your accommodation in Cusco City — whether it’s a hotel, Airbnb, apartment, or hostel near the city center. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic 3-hour drive through the Andean highlands to reach the trailhead.
Upon arrival, our chef will prepare a delicious breakfast with several options to choose from. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or coca tea while admiring the stunning Andean landscapes that surround you a perfect start before taking on the 5,000-meter (16,400 ft) challenge ahead.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our 2-hour hike to the summit of Vinicunca Mountain, famously known as Rainbow Mountain. The trail features a gentle ascent most of the way, with a short but steep incline toward the end. As you climb, the views become more spectacular at every turn.
Hike alongside the snow-capped peaks of the Ausangate range, the highest in the Cusco region, and encounter herds of llamas and alpacas grazing freely in the wild. The crisp mountain air and vast landscapes will inspire you every step of the way.
At the summit of Rainbow Mountain, your expert guide will share fascinating insights about its colorful mineral formations, the history of the Andes, and the deep spiritual connection local communities have with these lands.
After soaking in the breathtaking 360° views, we’ll continue with a 30-minute hike to the Red Valley, a hidden gem rarely visited by tourists. This remote area offers mesmerizing red and ochre hills that seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon a photographer’s dream.
We’ll then descend for about 1 hour back to the trailhead, After admiring the incredible beauty of Rainbow Mountain, we will descend from its peak and make our way back to a local village for lunch, prepared by our chefs will be waiting for you. Enjoy traditional Peruvian dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Finally, we’ll board our private transport back to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 p.m.
RAINBOW MOUNTAIN & RED VALLEY PERU – TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco at 4:30 a.m., so you can relax and let us handle all the details. Sit back and enjoy a scenic 3.5-hour drive through the Andes, surrounded by breathtaking views of traditional villages, valleys, and snow-capped peaks, until we reach the trailhead.
Upon arrival (around 8:00 a.m.), our professional chef will prepare a fresh, energizing breakfast featuring local ingredients the perfect way to start your day while admiring the majestic Vilcanota mountain range.
After breakfast, at approximately 9:30 a.m., we’ll begin our hike toward Rainbow Mountain along a well-marked path. The trail offers stunning Andean scenery, with herds of llamas and alpacas along the way.
By 11:30 a.m., you’ll reach the summit of Rainbow Mountain Peru, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of vibrant mineral layers and towering snow peaks. Take your time to rest, capture incredible photos, and immerse yourself in this natural wonder.
At 12:00 p.m., your adventure continues toward the spectacular Red Valley, known for its otherworldly red landscapes and peaceful atmosphere. After a short hike, you’ll arrive at the Red Valley viewpoint, where endless shades of crimson and ochre stretch across the horizon a truly unforgettable sight.
Around 1:00 p.m., we’ll start our return hike to the trailhead, where a delicious traditional lunch will be waiting for you at 2:00 p.m. prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that showcase the authentic flavors of the Andes.
Finally, after this satisfying meal, we’ll board our private transportation back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 6:00 p.m., marking the end of an extraordinary day exploring Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley.
